As much as I love candles, I have to be honest and admit I have never thought to seek out Black-Owned candle companies to support.
Candles are one of my absolute favorite me-time treats.
For me, purchasing candles is an investment into my well-being and self-care, so I really like to make sure I absolutely love the candles I keep in my home.
When I set out to find Black-Owned candle companies, I had no idea it would become such an overwhelming task. I didn’t know there were so many of them! But I’m so glad I did because I can’t wait to begin investing my dollars back into my community.

These Are Not Your Average Candle Companies
NO PARAFFIN WAX
Wanna hear something pretty phenomenal? Not one of these companies uses paraffin wax. Every company uses environmentally kind soy wax, coconut wax, and other natural ingredients in their wax bases.
Did you know that Bath & Body Works and Yankee Candle don’t even carry soy candles? As much as I’ve loved and used their candles in the past, this is enough reason alone to make a switch. So why not switch to one of these?
INFLUX OF HIGH DEMAND
Please don’t be alarmed if you click through to some of these websites and see some of them have a shipping delay.
This is actually an amazing thing!!!
These businesses have been inundated with love and support from people all over the world who want to invest in Black-Owned businesses for every day needs.
PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL
I’m so happy to say that every single one of these companies responded immediately to my inquiry for using their photos in my article. They were kind and gracious, despite my newness to the blogging world.
COVID-19 HAS BIRTHED NEW BUSINESSES
COVID-19 has pushed two of these candle company owners into realizing their dream of beginning their candle businesses. Not everything about the quarantines of 2020 has been bad.
